Registrations for 2009. These will commence around late January 2009.
Thanks to all who came to our AGM and thanks to the coaches and managers and their families, around 70 people in total, for coming along to the lunch afterwards. There have been a small number of committe changes. We thank those who have helped continue the RWFC spirit in 2008 and congratulate those who will be the torch bearers in 2009. Thanks to those who've stepped aside. Simon Tall for presiding over the club for the past two years and keeping the spirit alive as well, Ann Webster for being a part of the magic team of registrars and Steve and Lynda Wright for keeping the smiles on our faces and maintaining the health of our club through their social and fundraising duties.

For those who are affiliated with Revesby Workers Football Club, please take a moment, stand back and look at how the club faired this year in terms of team success and the welfare of the club. Overall it’s probably one of the best years we’ve ever had.
From the smooth registration period at the start of the year, to the grading of the youngster’s teams, to the rolling out of 35 teams to start the season through to organising events during the year up to the presentation days at season close. Cool runnings! Well done to everyone involved!

Our U7 Tigers competed at 'Castle Hill Rockets first annual gala day on Sunday 3rd August.
The format of the games were Small-Sided Games, which we have not played in the Bankstown district as yet, where most other teams on the day have been playing all season.
We played three preliminary rounds which the kids won all three. The first 3-0, the second 7-0 and the third 2-1! This was an enormous achievement by all players. We were them invited to play a semi-final which was a hard fought game with Tigers winning 2-1. The kids were very excited to play in the grand final against Granville, at full time we were tied with a 1-1 draw, it was decided that 5minutes each way extra time sudden death, after the first 5 minutes it was still a draw, then unfortunately Granville scored 2minutes into 2nd half of extra time!
The kids were very proud of their result and even though they were tired and defeated they showed great sportsmanship (for 7 year olds) towards the other team after the game!
