HOW TO REGISTER

All the clubs in our association will be using Football Australia's preferred method of registering players and coaches - online through the MyFootbalClub website.

So now you can register by yourself at home or work. Alternatively, you can come to our advertised Registration days and we'll assist you.

There are 3 steps in the registrations process:

STEP 1 - Preparation

- Photo: Get a passport style photo of yourself from the shoulders up with no glasses or hat on. It can be cropped from any normal photo. Have this ready for the online registration step below or you can bring it on a USB stick if you get our help to register. Alternatively, we can take a photo of you at our registration days,

or click here for more photo guidelines on how to make the photo.

- Payment
: Think of how to pay. You can pay by credit card online or you can choose the 'Invoice Me' option online and pay later by either cash, cheque or EFTPOS at  our registration days. Contact Matt Buttler (President) or Susan Bale (Secretary) if you will struggle to pay upfront. Conact details - click here.

STEP 2 - Online Registration (yourself or with our help)

You have the following two options. Register online yourself, or at the clubhouse with our help:

OPTION 1: Registering online yourself

 INFORMATION FOR NEW PLAYERS

SEASON START

Trial games on the last two Sundays in March. All players are expected to attend. It may involve travelling to a field outside of the Bankstown area.

There is only one football season per calendar year.

2013 season will commence 6th April and 7th April for Ladies comp.

GAME LOCATIONS
Home and away games for all divisions. All grounds are within 15 minutes drive of our home ground. Click here for our home ground location. Click here for all other grounds.

HOW TO JOIN A TEAM / GRADING

Easy! Just come along on the registration dates mentioned above. You can register on these days and/or ask questions of the RWFC representatives who will be there on the day. You may also contact one of the committee members or find out via the website for more details. Click here for those contact details.

Some grades may have a grading process to determine which team best fit the player based upon ability. This only applies from Grade 12 upwards.

All players are usually accepted by the club unless there are exceptional circumstances including:

- not enough numbers to field a team in a particular age group,
- the player has lifetime or other type of bans against them (RWFC committee to review on an individual case)

ROLLOUT PROCESS
These are the steps in the roll out players and teams/squads:

1. Registration
2. Gradings (usually where there are multiple teams in a division). All affected players will be notified.
3. Team formation.
4. Training dates determined.
5. Trial games determined.

TRAINING
All teams train at our home ground at Marco Reserve, Homelea Avenue Panania.  The RWFC Clubhouse is also located there.

Most teams train one afternoon a week (premier league twice a week), usually on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and somewhere between 5pm and 6.30pm. The training times are worked out once the teams are formed immediately after the registration phase, and in consideration of when the coach and manager are available.

PARENTS' RESPONSIBILITIES
Parents (and players) are encouraged to volunteer as team coaches and managers.  We have a coaching coordinator and a managers coordinator to assist and support those new to the role/s. Parents are required to commit to up to 3 ground duties, each of approximately 3 hours in duration, throughout the season.

PLAYING DAY/TIMES
Ladies games are played on Sundays.  Juniors' games are played on Saturday mornings between 8:30am and 12pm. All senior mens games are played on Saturdays at 1pm or 3pm.  Some catch-up games due to bad weather or mishaps may be played wid-week, Sundays (men & juniors) or Saturday (ladies).  There is a maxiumum of one catch-up game per team per round.

Exact times are determined near the start of the season when the draw is released by the association.
